Are You Ready For The BBC Children in Need Appeal?

The iconic Children in Need initiative started on Christmas Day in 1972 in the format of a five-minute radio broadcast. The response was jaw dropping, and the money raised was split between 4 children’s charities.

To date, the BBC Children in Need Appeal has raised a staggering 800 million which has changed the lives of countless children across the UK. The 2,400 projects they fund help children facing a range of disadvantages, for example, poverty and deprivation; victims of abuse or neglect; and disabled young people.

This year we had the pleasure of supporting Radio 2s 50th Anniversary Gala lunch, hosted by Michael Ball, in aid of BBC Children in Need with our flagship silent auction technology. This event raised a staggering 16,719 through the silent auction alone! This years BBC Children in Need Appeal will be hosted on November 17th at 7:30 pm (BST) on BBC One. As the stats below show, its paramount that we continue on the tradition of raising awareness for children in need and get involved!
