Heart and Stroke Foundation of BC and Yukon
For close to 70 years, Heart & Stroke has been dedicated to fighting heart disease and stroke. Their work has saved thousands of lives and improved the lives of millions of others.
The annual Heart & Stroke Gala had been an in-person event for 14 years but in 2020 and 2021, the Foundation had to pivot to a virtual platform due to pandemic restrictions. In 2021, the event featured great music and inspiring stories to deliver a fun and engaging experience for the audience. with a goal to raise $400,000 in support of four amazing heart and stroke researchers in B.C.
Based on Givergy’s recommendation, Heart & Stroke reduced the virtual program to 55 minutes to keep their audience captivated. Heart & Stroke was able to seamlessly integrate the Givergy auction and donation platform into the run of the show so that it was simple for donors to bid or donate, whilst enjoying the musical entertainment.
