A last minute staff departure, left the Americas Cup without a silent auction solution until they contacted Givergy Events. Flying into action, both literally & figuratively, Givergy built a custom mobile responsive online auction website in one day (usually a 7 working day build and testing process) and had the Operations Director for the US flying out on the next plane.
The auction was in support of the Americas Cup Endeavour Day program which is a Community Outreach Program whose primary objective is to enhance youth engagement through experiential learning.
The event was held at the prestigious Tuckers Point Hotel and the whos who in the Bermuda sailing community were in attendance. All guests enjoyed the competitive nature of the mobile bidding system, easily utilizing their own mobile phones to place bids and received outbid text notifications throughout the event in order to keep the competitive element up and ensure they didn’t miss out on the fantastic auction items.
Overall the event was a smashing success raising over $35,000 in the silent auction alone and with the mobile platform, we were able to keep the donation page open throughout the weekends race festivities.
