A New Innovative Development: You Can Now Turn Losing Bids Into Donations!
Its our mission to keep evolving and introducing new ideas and concepts so our clients can continue to raise more money at events and online. We’ve listened to the needs of our clients and are very excited to be the first to bring this incredible feature to the market.
This development now enables you to encourage guests to donate their highest losing bid (or a sum of their choice) to your event / campaign.
Hosting a silent auction is a great way to engage guests, create excitement and entertain throughout the evening. However, there are limitations, the number of winners solely depends on how many auction items you supply. Providing the perfect number of auction items, categories and managing increments to increase activity can be tricky. This new feature enables you to ensure maximum funds are being raised from your event.
Guests who bid on auction items and experiences but lose are mentally prepared to part with that particular sum of money. Of course, this is in return for a gift or experience, but nonetheless money is ready to be spent.
Clients have fed back through our focus groups that money is being left on the table by those guests who didnt win, they wanted to present guests with an opportunity to use their losing bid to support their charity. Our system now allows those guests to choose if they would like to donate their losing bid instead. A simple message is sent to them, by text and/or email:
This feature is incredibly easy for you to deploy from our Event Management System, you just edit the message if you wish and then send the message to your guests who bid on the auction but didn’t win. If you have a Givergy team onsite, we will do this for you. Guests who have made donations will be removed automatically.
Guests will receive a message via mobile and email guiding them to follow a link to make payment.
