The Hampshire Medical Fund (HMF) is an independent charity founded by the late Earl of Carnarvon in 1981. The charity raises funds to buy cutting edge medical equipment which cannot otherwise be obtained through NHS budgets, for Basingstoke, Winchester, and Andover hospitals. The purchase of this equipment helps the Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (HHFT) provide the best possible care for the community of Hampshire.<\/p>\n
Since 2019, the charity has been proudly supported by Patrons Lord and Lady Lloyd Webber.<\/p>\n
In order to purchase a Laparoscopic Stack that would facilitate specialist surgery for those suffering with Endometriosis, HMF organised a prestigious fundraising event that aimed to raise between \u00a360,000 and \u00a365,000.<\/p>\n
For the event itself, guests were invited to a private viewing of the Faberg\u00e9 exhibition at the V&A where they were greeted with a drinks and canap\u00e9s reception. At the venue, the Hampshire Medical Fund had set up four screens drawing attention to their auction whilst Givergy event staff walked the floor with fundraising tablets, encouraging donors to bid, and answering any questions they had.<\/p>\n
The Hampshire Medical Fund reached their target and were able to purchase the medical equipment needed. Their auction raised just under \u00a325,000 and whilst ticket sales and donations accounted for the rest of the total raised.<\/p>\n

Top Tip: <\/strong>\u201cWe are a small team with two full-time staff and two part-time staff, so we are always excitingly busy! Therefore, when we planned this event and confirmed the desire for an auction, we knew we had to look for platforms that were very simple to use, intuitive and responsive. I know a lot of small charities have the same requirement, so it\u2019s essential to do your research. If you\u2019re after a technology provider, find one with an easy-to-use back-end system and good customer support.
