World Child Cancer\u2019s mission is to improve diagnosis, treatment and support for children with cancer, and their families, in low and middle-income countries around the world. World Child Cancer exist to ensure all children, wherever they are, have equal access to the treatment and care that they need when facing cancer. Money raised from their events improves access to healthcare through helping fund nurses and doctors, as well as buildings and technology.<\/p>\n
The World Child Cancer Summer Quiz is a popular event that the organisation has run since 2016. The event has usually been enjoyed as a pub style quiz during which a prize takes place. Historically, the organisation has always used physical tickets at the event. Although World Child Cancer have been successful with this event \u2013 this year they looked to progress, tried something new and used the Givergy platform to run an online prize draw.<\/p>\n
World Child Cancer began hosting their online event a few weeks before the in-person pub quiz. Doing this allowed the draw to be shared wider than the normal event audience. On the night QR codes directed guests to enter the draw, which they could view at any point throughout the quiz.<\/p>\n
623 prize draw purchases were made, and the digital integration of the event allowed World Child Cancer to sell more tickets and engage their supporters with meaningful content prior to the event. The night itself raised over \u00a311,000 which was larger than the budgeted income.<\/p>\n

Top Tip: <\/strong>\u201cWe found moving our event online was great for engagement. We are also able to engage with supporters who couldn\u2019t attend the event but could still purchase tickets online.
