When a child has a serious illness, family life is turned upside down and time becomes more precious than ever. Rainbow Trust pairs each family with an expert Family Support Worker who enables them to make the most of time together, giving them practical and emotional support, whenever they need it, for as long as is needed.<\/p>\n
Rainbow Trust hold a race night every other year where they invite donors to get involved with Live and Silent Auctions whilst enjoying an evening at the Royal Windsor Racecourse. This year changing pandemic regulations meant they lost 5 tables from the \u2018usual\u2019 event. Despite these challenges however, optimism was high and a target of \u00a3150,000 was set.<\/p>\n
A week before the live event the silent auction was up and running through the Givergy platform. This meant people interested in supporting the charity but who were not attending the event could engage with the campaign and contribute if they wished. On the night itself, Rainbow Trust used an auctioneer to host a live auction that then transitioned into a silent one. Donors were able to then bid on the silent auction either through their own mobile phone or the Givergy tablets. Integrated into the digital platform was also a pledge facility, which Rainbow Trust utilised to make donating more accessible to guests.<\/p>\n
An amazing result was achieved with the Rainbow Trust raising over \u00a3185,000, \u00a335,000 more than budgeted and more than their 2019 event.<\/p>\n
